Travis Fimmel, an Australian actor and former model, is best known for his performance as Ragnar Lothbrok in the History Channel television series Vikings. He was born on July 15, 1979. He appeared in the science fiction series Raised by Wolves in 2020. Fimmel was born in the Australian town of Echuca. He grew up on a dairy farm in Lockington that covered 5,500 acres. He is the youngest of three brothers and the son of Jennie, a disability recreation officer, and Chris, a cattle farmer. Fimmel came to Melbourne to play professional Australian rules football for the St Kilda Football Club, but a fractured leg forced him to miss the start of the season. He got accepted to RMIT to study commercial architecture and engineering, but he decided to postpone his studies to travel abroad.
